  2. A minimum of 5 credits in O’ levels.

Do I require Jamb to be admitted into Nursing schools in Nigeria?

You do not require Jamb to study in any Nursing school in Nigeria. Nursing schools in Abuja and other places in Nigeria are independent of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

Therefore Nursing schools in Abuja and in Nigeria at large are not under the operations of Jamb. It means you can get admitted without Jamb. All you need is five (5) credit pass in your West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) result.

But if you intend to study Nursing in any University in Nigeria then you will need to sit for Jamb and pass it before qualifying to sit for the University’s Post UTME examination and thereafter gaining admission into the school.

What is the difference between the School of Nursing and the School of Midwifery?
